Badal Sarkar (Prominent Indian dramatist)
Sarwanam has established a new and a prominent movement in Nepali theatre. I immensely enjoy watching its plays.
The Sunday Times Of India, New Delhi (July 5, 1998)
In Nepal, amongst those active in street theatre, Sarwanam is the most prominent. It was formed in 1980, when a group of young people came together to fill the void in the cultural realm.
Satyamohan Joshi (Prominent Nepali Writer)
Street theatre pioneered by Sarwanam is a very revolutionary initiation. Other theatre artists should learn from Sarwanam.
Dr. Dhruba Chandra Gautam (Renowned Nepali Writer)
Sarwanam has performed many wonderful plays in a very short span of time and has thus showed a humble tribute to the theatre world
Ganesh Man Singh, Girija Prashad Koirala, Mangaladevi, Krishna Prashad Bhattarai & Sushil Koirala (Prominent Nepali leaders and revolutionists)
It was a privilege for us to watch Sarwanam's three plays today. Such intellectual plays should be constantly performed in order to create awareness and bring cultural prosperity in Nepal. (After seeing plays, Hami Basanta Khojirahechau, Atirikta Aakash and Ma Bhaneko Haami in B.S. 2042)
Mohan Himanshu Thapa (Nepali Art critic)
In lack of well equipped theatre halls, Ashesh Malla's "Hami Basanta Khojirahechau" descended to the streets. Street theatre took birth at a time when there was an immense lack of well equipped and scientific theatre auditorium. This movement is a disapproval of conventional theatre movement as well as a revolution to the current condition of Nepali theatre.
